This anthology brings together seventeen independent scholarly contributions by legal researchers affiliated with universities within the NEOLAiA European University Alliance. The volume examines the common constitutional traditions of the European Union Member States and their legal value in the contemporary European legal order. Drawing on comparative perspectives, the chapters explore how shared constitutional principles such as proportionality, legitimate expectations, and the rule of law operate within and across national and supranational legal systems.
The volume is based on contributions presented at the first annual NEOLAiA Law Network Conference, held at Örebro University in May 2025.
